Individual Classes

Level 1: Recommended for Grades 3-5

Sky High Science: Exploring Cloud Formation!

Become a meteorologist! Explore different types of clouds and witness how they form by creating a vapor cloud in the blink of an eye!

Pressure Power: The Science of Air

Become a meteorologist! Master reading a weather map, study weather patterns and pressure changes, and create a barometer. Examine wind and wind speed, and create an anemometer.

The Water Cycle Adventure

Learn about evaporation, condensation, and precipitation in this fun and simple experiment that will help kids see how the water cycle works in nature

Starry Structures: Marshmallow Constellations

Students will build 3D models of constellations using marshmallows and toothpicks! This helps them understand how stars form patterns in the sky and that constellations aren't actually flat—they exist in three-dimensional space.

Snowball Meltdown: The Science of Ice

This fun science experiment helps kids understand how temperature, salt, and other materials affect the melting speed of snow. It’s a great way to explore states of matter, heat transfer, and chemical reactions during winter!

Walking Water Rainbows

This fun and colorful experiment  teaches kids about capillary action, color mixing, and absorption. In this experiment, water moves from one cup to another through paper towels, creating a rainbow effect as the colors blend!

Molecule Mania: The Building Blocks of Everything

Electrons, protons, neutrons what's the difference? Explore atomic theory, and make sense of the periodic table. Use the elements to build models of molecules using what you discover about molecular bonding.

Microscopic Discoveries

Peer through a microscope and bring a new world into focus! Journey into the invisible microscopic world by preparing, staining, and mounting your own slides and identifying the stages of plant mitosis, all while mastering the functions of a microscope.

Level 2: Recommended for Grades 3-5

ABC's of Acids, Bases & Concentrations

What is the acid concentration of your favorite drink? Use titration to find out! Determine the proper indicator to use, and design and execute an experiment to calculate the molar concentration of acid in a beverage.

Delving intoDNA

Journey through the discovery of DNA and its structure. Gain an appreciation for the double helix, base pairing, and the nature of genetic inheritance. Use biological detergents, enzymes, and ethanol to isolate DNA and understand the role of DNA and proteins in genetic expression.

Understanding Genetics

Principals of Mendelian genetics will be explored and tested. Simulating monohybrid and dihybrid crosses with chips and dice, patterns of inheritance will be established by calculating genotypic and phenotypic ratios for select traits.

Soil Sciences

Evaluate soil samples and conduct soil
composition tests. Investigate the local environment and gain an appreciation for earth science while recognizing the complexities of nature right under your feet.

The Exploding Bag Challenge: A Chemical Reaction in Action!

In this experiment, students will create a chemical reaction. This hands-on demonstration shows how gas production in a confined space leads to an exciting explosion!

Cold vs Hot Volcanoes - Exploring Endothermic and Exothermic Reactions

Students will learn about endothermic (cold volcano) and exothermic (hot volcano) reactions.  Students will compare these reactions to understand how chemical processes affect temperature.

Leaf Lift-Off: Measuring the Magic of Photosynthesis!

Students will learn what photosynthesis is and why green plants are indispensable to all life on Earth.
